When one is unable to bid farewell to a loved one, this is a proposal full of sentimentality, nostalgia and liberation.
NL// “Adiós” is een voorstelling die de abstractheid van traditionele Caribische dans mengt met hedendaagse dansbewegingen. In de voorstelling zijn zowel traditionele Colombiaanse ritmes als moderne klanken verwerkt, met de bedoeling om het rouwproces, waarbij je afscheid neemt van dierbaren, af te sluiten. Op het moment dat je geen afscheid kunt nemen van een geliefde, is dit een voorstelling vol sentimentaliteit, nostalgie en bevrijding.
Lilieth Manjarres Acuña “Crespa Manjarres”, studeerde af aan de kunstfaculteit van de Francisco José de Caldas Distrital Universiteit. Lilieth is docent paaldansen, twerking en traditionele Colombiaanse ritmes. Als danseres nam ze deel aan choreografische producties van het gezelschap Encuentros en danste ze voor Colombiaanse zangers. Ook choreografeerde ze een videoclip voor de zanger Mr Black. Haar voornaamste streven was echter altijd het onderwijzen en helen van vrouwenlichamen die lichamelijk of psychisch zijn mishandeld door middel van dans en paaldansen.
EN// “Adiós” is a performance piece that blends the abstractness of traditional Caribbean dance with contemporary dance movements. The show incorporates both traditional Colombian rhythms and modern sounds, with the intention of providing closure to the grieving process, where you say goodbye to loved ones. When one is unable to bid farewell to a loved one, this is a proposal full of sentimentality, nostalgia and liberation.
Lilieth Manjarres Acuña “Crespa Manjarres”, Graduated from the arts faculty of Francisco José de Caldas Distrital University. Lilieth is an instructor of pole dance, twerking and traditional Colombian rhythms. In her career as a dancer she had the opportunity to participate in choreographic productions of the Encuentros company and dance for Colombian singers, as well as choreograph a music video for the singer Mr Black. However, her main objective has always been teaching and healing female bodies that have been physically or psychologically violated through dance and pole dance.
