NL// Anna Borodikhina rapt, zingt, speelt en vertelt over hoe zij beweegt in een wereld waarin ze zichzelf niet thuis voelt.
Anna’s Tataars islamitische moeder was geboren in Oost-Berlijn, als dochter van een legerofficier. Haar vader groeide op in de Sovjetrepubliek Kazachstan, ook Anna’s geboorteland. Haar ouders vluchtten met haar als 3-jarige naar België om politieke redenen.
NIEMANDSLAND is een persoonlijk verhaal over afscheid en aanvaarding, over vluchtelingen en migratie, identiteit en onzichtbaarheid. Het sleept je mee en voert je heen en weer tussen het verleden en het heden om al dansend te landen op Anna’s innerlijke melodie.
NIEMANDSLAND won de Antwerp Bijou prijs te midden van de pandemie en lock down.
Anna Borodikhina is een podiumdichter, actrice en muzikale performance artieste. Ze brengt spoken word en maakt beats met een loopstation en haar stem waarop ze zingt en rapt. Ze werkte mee in theaterprojecten van Tutti Fratelli, Vers Geweld en won de nationale muziekwedstrijd Violencia. Al 7 jaar lang beklimt ze diverse podia met haar spoken word, muziek of theater. NIEMANDSLAND. In search of a home, in a place you don’t feel at home.
EN// Anna Borodikhina raps, sings, plays and recounts how she moves in a world in which she does not feel at home.
Anna’s Tatar Muslim mother was born in East Berlin, the daughter of an army officer. Her father grew up in the Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, also Anna’s native country. At the age of three, her parents fled with her to Belgium for political reasons.
NIEMANDSLAND is a personal story about farewell and acceptance, about refugees and migration, identity and invisibility. It drags you along and takes you back and forth between past and present to land, whilst dancing, on Anna’s inner melody.
NIEMANDSLAND won the Antwerp Bijou prize in the midst of the pandemic and lockdown.
Anna Borodikhina is a stage poet, actress and musical performance artist. She performs spoken word and makes beats with a loop station and her voice on which she sings and raps. She participated in theatre projects of Tutti Fratelli, Fresh Violence and won the national music competition Violencia. For the past seven years, she has graced various stages with her spoken word, music and theatre. She runs workshops on creative writing, performance, beatmaking, theatre and rap.
