As various scenarios flash through your mind, you desperatly try to piece together the events that led you to this moment

Faisal Muhammadu delves into the haunting world of memory loss and trauma, exploring the psychological toll it takes on our minds and the battle to regain control. Drawing inspiration from real-life experiences, Muhammadu provides a glimpse into the psyche’s inner workings. The story follows a young man’s journey through the labyrinth of his mind.

With this Work In Progress, Faisal Muhammadu translates his first own text to the stage. Faisal Muhammadu started with de nieuwe spelers in 2020. He combined this preliminary training with auditions and theatre experiences at kunstZ ( ‘Welkomstfeest’ directed by Corinne Heyrman – 2016 / ‘Layla and Majnun’, directed by Aïcha Cissé – 2021 / ‘We Are A Bird Now’, directed by Karolien Verlinden – 2022) & Madam Fortuna (‘Zot Van Liefde’ and ‘Circle of Life’ – 2023). He was cast for a role in Jaouad Alloul’s play ‘Venus in Libra’ (2022 – 2023) and a role in Charlotte De Cort’s short film ‘UNGODLY’ (2023).

Faisal Muhammadu duikt in de wereld van geheugenverlies en trauma, waarbij hij de psychologische impact op onze geest onderzoekt en de strijd om de balans te herstellen. Gebaseerd op real-life ervaringen, geeft Muhammadu een kijk op de interne werking van de psyche. We volgen de reis van een jongeman door het labyrint van zijn gedachten.

Met deze Work In Progress vertaalt Faisal Muhammadu zijn eerste eigen tekst naar de scène. In 2020 startte hij bij de nieuwe spelers.
