{NL} WIPCOOP – Work In Progress Coöperatie – strijkt opnieuw neer in Gent, dit jaar in Campo Victoria. Artiesten uit de Gentse scène tonen Work In Progress (max. een half uur) en nemen het publiek mee op de wonderbaarlijke route van hun creatieproces. Een selectie van professionelen (dramaturgen, programmatoren, producenten,…) gaat na elke ‘WIP’ een uur in dialoog met de artiesten over het getoonde werk en verdere stappen. Tijdens die breaks kan het publiek zich laten inspireren door pitches over artistieke initiatieven in de stad of met artiesten in gesprek gaan.
De ‘WIP’-formule, sinds 2009 een belangrijke draaischijf van het Mestizo Arts Platform (MAP), is een kruisbestuiving tussen een veertigtal organisaties, om voelsprieten te finetunen en artiesten te helpen doorstromen naar de podia. Op initiatief van MAP en met het coöperatieve gedachtegoed in het achterhoofd is deze formule ontkiemd tot een interstedelijke coproductie in Antwerpen, Brussel en Gent, met jaarlijks Work In Progress in elke stad.
5 artiesten geven inkijk in het WIP van hun (vaak) eerste voorstelling.

De Work In Progress vinden overdag plaats. ’s Avonds kan je nog de voorstelling van Nathalie Rozanes bijwonen. Zij presenteerde een Work In Progress in 2018.

{ENG} WIPCOOP – Work In Progress Cooperation – lands in Ghent again, this year in Campo Victoria. Five artists from Ghent show their works in progress and take the audience on the magical journey of their creative process. A selection of professionals (dramaturges, programmers, producers, …) engage into conversation with the artists for an hour after each showcase. During that time the audience can attend inspiring pitches about innovative artistic initiatives in the city or talk to the artists.
The WIP-formula, an important part of Mestizo Art Platform (MAP)’s work since 2009, is a cross-pollination between about forty organisations to finetune their antennae and help artists find their way to the stage. At MAP’s initiative, and with the cooperative streak in mind, the formula has blossomed into an intercity co-production in Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels.
Work In Progress will be presented during the daytime. The same evening the performance of Nathalie Rozanes can be attended. She presented a work in progress in 2018.
