WIPCOOP 2019: STAY TUNED

MESTIZO ARTS PLATFORM welcomes you to a new edition of WIPCOOP! Our cities are the habitat and breeding ground for artists who do not allow themselves to be labeled and feed off every imaginable influence.

WIPCOOP = Work In Progress Cooperative, a special model of cooperation with numerous partner organizations and artists in Antwerp, Brussels, Mechelen and Ghent. Together we form an engaged network of small and large cultural houses, as yet unknown and established artists, and numerous people active in the arts sector. Each feeds into the network from their own expertise and strength. Together we mix and match the right support for emerging artists creating new work.

WIPCOOP = A developmental course all year round where artists from a fledgling idea or concept (#POWERTALKS) through WORK IN PROGRESS (#WORKINPROGRESS) to interim show moments (#SESSIONS) and finished performances (#PLAYS) straightforwardly seek dialogue with a community of listeners: the public, other artists, programmers, dramaturgs, …

In short, WIPCOOP = making space for new voices, stories, forms and languages in the arts.

JOIN THE RIDE! In November a new series #WORKINPROGRESS and #PLAYS
