Qui cherche, die vindt. Ines El Bakari and Jad Zeitouni engage with the complex identity formation they themselves have gone through and try to answer questions that young people with similar multiple identities face on a daily basis.
It is not only our quest, but that of a whole generation.

Qui cherche, die vindt is a bilingual interactive site performance with interchangeable cast. A transdisciplinary project, in the tradition of Ras El Hanout’s action theater that seeks – through a mix of workshops, visual art, art history, performance, the identity issues of an entire generation – to deconstruct prejudice by addressing the question of Flemish identity.
Qui cherche, die vindt …an artistic meeting and exchange on a complex theme.
InèsEl Bakari and Jad Amine Zeitouni have both been active in Ras El Hanout for several years. For example, they were featured in “The D-Word” and “Home Sweet Home. With ‘Qui cherche, die vindt,’ they aim to link cultural awareness to the many different ways they identify with a very unique touch.

Qui cherche, die vindt portrays an eternal search among young people who grew up in Brussels between French, Dutch and their mother tongue. These in-between kids are not only lost between the different languages, but also between the different cultures associated with them. Together they go in search of their identity through theater and contemporary visual art. Qui cherche, die vindt reflects not only their search, but that of different generations in Belgium.
