PL3MONS ‘PL3M0NS’ is a hybrid, Afro-futuristic, multimedia performance in 3D style that floats on a post-apocalyptic scenario Climate change is a fact of life and the population is in survival mode; Alien, parasitic creatures find a host via plastic to wreak havoc and destruction on Earth.

‘PL3M0NS’ is about the predatory role of plastic and other polluters. All masks, sets and costumes are made by Van den Broeck himself. He works with professional performers but also with young people with no prior theater experience This mix is a great strength of his work.

Younes van den Broeck (1991) aka Spitler/Spitlart is a word artist, performer and visual artist. He transforms his social commitment into art, words and image. His word art is usually socially critical He has already presented his work in Arenberg, De Studio, HETPALEIS, Rataplan and at the ZOMER VAN ANTWERPEN. He also gives workshops for youth/children at HETPALEIS, Rataplan and at schools, among others. In May 2018, he received the Queen Mathilde Prize for the project ‘Beyond beats and bars’ (in collaboration with Commusaic vzw) in which young people between fourteen and twenty get the chance to get to know each other and make a hip-hop album.

‘PL3MONS’ is co-supported by detheatermaker and was presented at ‘Love at first sight’ at HETPALEIS in September 2020.
