Stone stories
My dad picks up a stone from the ground.
He shows us the black squares and the silver threads meandering through the pink granite.
A second one. Lines, folded lines.
Yes, good eye, he says and rubs my hair. Sandstones.
I walk ahead to find more stones of sand, more stories of stone.
How does the sand stick together?
