Work In Progress WIPCOOP Mechelen

31 March, WIPCOOP lands in Mechelen for a second Work In Progress edition.

This year DE MAAN is hosting Work In Progress by artists from the Mechelen scene. Zach Swagga & Junior Akwety, Amina Iddrisu & Nora Gabrovska, Josse De Broeck, Ana Lekše, Noémie Saintandré, Marguerite Neves (a collective of circus artists and musicians) share with an audience of professionals and curious viewers where they stand with the development of their new stage creations.

They each present 30 minutes from their Work In Progress. Afterwards, they will talk for one hour with a group of dramaturges, workshops, producers and programmers about their work and possible support. During these breaks, other artists will tell the audience about new work, new initiatives or projects in artist talks.

Prepare to be seduced by new artistic creations and get to know exciting creators from Mechelen!

WIPCOOP – the Work In Progress Cooperative of Mestizo Arts Platform – is an all year round development cooperation in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent and Mechelen. Its main goal? Making new artistic work visible from the strength of the cooperative, setting up a dialogue about this and matching artists and organisations in order to further develop and perform this work.
