Take a peek in Leuven’s creative kitchen. Join Mestizo Arts Platform and the Work In Progress Cooperation (Wipcoop) at OPEK September 26, where 4 artists will show where they stand with the development of their new creations. Each of them will present a max of 30 minutes from their Work In Progress. Afterwards, they will talk to a group of dramaturges, workplaces, producers and programmers about the work shown and possible support.
Leuven leads the way in a series of WIPCOOP events spread across several cities.
Also explore Work In Progress in Brussels: KVS – Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 October – in Antwerp: Kambala (Toneelhuis) Thursday 28 and Friday 29 November – in Ghent: De Kazematten Thursday 5 December. Find out what sprouts from previous editions via the updates available HERE.
We will launch more info on the artists and their work in June.
WIPCOOP – the Work In Progress Cooperative of Mestizo Arts Platform – is an all-year round development track in Leuven, Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent. Its main goal? Making new artistic work visible from the strength of the cooperative, setting up dialogue around it and matching artists and organisations to further develop and perform this work.
WIPCOOP = making space for new voices, stories, forms and languages in the performing arts. An inter-urban co-production in which the arts sector keeps its finger on the pulse of what is developing in the rich breeding ground of our cities and a network in which artists find support in developing their work. A win-win.
