PLAYS: MEER DAN (KNA)AP – Elyne Notebaert

An unforgettable theatrical monologue in which Elyne Notebaert invites you to a humorous, accessible, but also sharp and confrontational dialogue about living with achondroplasia (AP), or being a little woman.

More than (kna)ap‘ aims to increase the visibility and understanding of people living with a disability in the performing arts while engaging the audience in a deep conversation. Elyne broaches themes of loneliness, bullying and negative self-image, giving viewers a peek into her heart in a touching and funny way. She also deals with warm and connecting concepts such as self-acceptance, self-development and group dynamics. This performance is more than a monologue. Elyne shows that she is more than her disability. It is an invitation, a powerful call to action to build a more inclusive and empathetic society we can all be proud of.

Dutch spoken.
