This fall, expect a mix of theater, mime and multidisciplinary work during WIPCOOP at NTGent Minnemeers!
Then, artists from Ghent will each show a Work In Progress and you will get to know new stories about: identity, gender, spiritual awakening, inequality, solidarity…. In short, save the dates for a look at what is brewing and developing in terms of new artistic stage creations in the Ghent scene.
Afterwards, they will enter into a 1-hour conversation with a company of dramaturgists, workshops, producers and programmers about the work shown and possible support.
During these breaks – Artist Talks – other artists share news about their work or new projects with the audience.
- Bilge Arkac takes a close look at different stages of spiritual awakening through mime and dance.
With WAKE UP, she touches on themes of self-reflection, meaning and identity formation. - TEGENWOORDIG is a monodrama about solidarity and migration to a text and direction by Nadia Alhassanat.
Mariam leaves her homeland, leaving behind a war in which she lost both parents. - Anne Kuit shares a quest for gender, drag, identity, queer sea creatures, a bobbing head and our all-consuming fear of the unknown with the theatrical monologue LEO.
