Some images from last Monday taken by Victiorano Moreno. This Sharing Practices was the start of a 3-week residency in C O R S O, Monty and Rataplan in collaboration with detheatremaker and Mestizo Arts Platform. Timur Magomedgadzhiev resided in Rataplan this week, Lila Magnifique in Monty, Marthe Koning and Tamayo Okano in C O R S O. On Monday, we will meet back in C O R S O to exchange about the past week and the residents will move on to another house to continue their research.

About yesterday...
Oh how we enjoyed this first joint residency day which took off with 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨.

'Hybrid' surfaced as a key word and together with 'experiment' sums up the day well.

★ Marthe Koning handed us tools to create a sound bath. And we got to work with melody and textures and became a living loop station, so to speak.
★ Tamayo Okano made us look without our eyes, by focusing on skin and listening to body heat. We got space to experience inner time, held ourselves and discovered a new technique to block external input.
★ Lila Magnifique shared how she mentally prepares for a day in the studio and how 'to go out of your head'. A reminder to definitely not forget to have fun as well.
★ Timur Magomedgadzhiev took 'contradictions' (or was it 'opposites'?) as a starting point to tell stories. Even before the start of the exercise, we ended up in a semantic discussion that closed with the notion of Homo Duplex.

In short, an unforgettable experience, cultural workers and artists together in the rehearsal studio, a great start to an inspiring exchange. And a lesson to pack our slippers next time, because spending a day on ballet floor wearing socks is indeed brrr....
