Azad was the name of her great grand mother. It means free. Through this solo, Lila tries to make the link while exploring the complexities of femininity in a world that does not understand all its challenges. This body which is often reflected as a weight, could it not in reality be a source of power? Maybe it is beyond the physical body that freedom is found? In the inbetween, amidst masculine and feminine, where things are blurry, and less easily categorized ?

Azad depicts a very personal body language which goes from one shape to the other, from one energy to the other, from one state to another.
