NL// Een tribute aan Fania All Stars. Fania22 is een kleurrijke, warme voorstelling met live muziek en dans, een ode aan salsa en Latino cultuur.
Sandra toont de eerste stappen in de ontwikkeling van deze creatie die ze verder wil ontwikkelen met professionele dansers en muzikanten. Met een kleinere cast bouwt ze een pop-up voorstelling gebaseerd op repertoire van Fania All Stars met als werktitel ‘Fania22’. Fania All Starts is een latin jazz band die in de jaren 70 in New York aan de basis van de vernieuwing van de Cubaanse muziek stond. Fania22 trekt parallellen met migratiestromen in het New York van de jaren 70 en het Europa van vandaag. Met dit vooronderzoek van de voorstelling wil Sandra de link tussen dans en muziek visualiseren en een tribute brengen aan invloedrijke artiesten van Latijns Amerikaanse origine.

Sandra Delgadillo Porcel is danser en choreografe. In 2000 debuteerde ze bij ‘Scratching The Inner Fields’ Van VandeKeybus. Ze is thuis in de Martial Arts (Taekwondo en Capoeira), hiphop en Club-circuit en studeerde aan het Hoger Instituut voor Dans. Ze tourde 10 jaar met Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Vandaag coacht ze dansers bij o.a. kunstZ, Danspunt en ze ontwikkelde over de jaren heel wat kunsteducatieve projecten. Bekijk HIER haar website.
Tijdens WIPCOOP toont Sandra de eerste stappen in de ontwikkeling van deze creatie. In Oktober 2022 presenteerde ze een tweede etappe van haar werk in Rataplan, tijdens WIPCOOP Sessions. Daarnaast ontwikkelde Sandra ook LAB, een pop-up dans-en muziekvoorstelling geïnspireerd door Hiphop, Afro & Hedendaagse dans. Met LAB brengt ze getalenteerde jongeren en jonge professionals samen uit verschillende culturen. In deze voorstelling dansen ze op tracks die ze schreven tijdens de creatieweek en opnamen in Studio2020. On the flow nemen ze het publiek mee op reis naar hun persoonlijke werelden. Sandra shows the first steps in the development of this creation that she wants to develop with professional dancers and musicians. With a smaller cast she is building a pop-up performance based on the repertoire of Fania All Stars, a Latin jazz band that stood at the basis of the renewal of Cuban music in the 1970s in New York.
Fania22 draws parallels with migration flows in the New York of the 70s and in Europe today. With this preliminary research for the performance, Sandra wants to visualise the link between dance and music and pay tribute to influential artists of Latin American origin.

Sandra Delgadillo Porcel is a dancer and choreographer. In 2000, she made her debut with ‘Scratching The Inner Fields’ by VandeKeybus. She is at home in the Martial Arts (Taekwondo and Capoeira), hip-hop and the club circuit, and studied at the Higher Institute for Dance. She toured for 10 years with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Now, she coaches dancers at KunstZ, Danspunt … and has developed many art education projects over the years. Check out her website HERE.
