wpZimmer x MAP: Week 3

Our third week at wpZimmer is over! It was a very busy week, but also a very fun and inspiring one. We welcomed Emiliano Cedillo & Olga Groppo, Nela Deleu and Israel Ngashi with Pippa and Kelcey. We also organized a sharing moment with all the artists who were part of this residency. Read all of them here!

About Emiliano Cedillo & Olga Groppo

Two weeks ago we welcomed Emiliano Cedillo & Olga Groppo at wpZimmer. They worked on their performance FLUGI, which brings acrobatic cycling and classical music together in a story about power dynamics, separation and (re)joining together. They invited Claudia Giannotta aka Lamush to collaborate on the sound of the piece.
On the last day of their residency they shared 30 minutes of FLUGI with us and some of the other artists, who spent January at wpZimmer. And it was ✨✨✨✨✨ — thank you Merci Gracias хвала вам, Emiliano & Olga! We are excited to see where FLUGI will take you next ❤️

About Nela Deleu

We were also joined by Nela Deleu. She is currently taking the first steps into her new project — inspired by an article in MO* by Tessa Kraan, about the volunteers in Bosnia and Herzegovina that organise funeral rituals for the anonymous migrants that died on the Balkan route. During the sharing session we caught a glimpse of her research and experiments and we were all moved. Thank you, Nela; we love seeing your new project grow ❤️

Ooooh & you can still catch VLAMINGO Thursday 26.02.2026 – 20u00 – €10 at CC Steenokkerzeel.

About Israel Ngashi

EnJoy Dance Practice – by Israel Ngashi with Pippa, Kelcey, Tamayo, Zach Swagga, Aday (and even MAPpie Paulien participated)

Israël Ngashi (aka Wild) & MAP invited a couple of dancers to join/enjoy his dance practice. Starting from his work in progress 𝓦𝓮𝓵𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓚𝓼𝓪𝓪𝓻𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭, Israël wants to dive deeper into the element of joy. Joy, play and improvisation aren’t just part of Isaraël’s practice, but also form the foundation of his way of choreographing. The joy comes from dancing in and of itself, from listening to music, being in touch with your body, being together, losing yourself, finding each other…
But how to capture this joy? How do you perform a choreographed piece without losing the real joy & play?

We all had a really reeeally great day — though I (Paulien 👋) can only speak for myself. But the 💥💥💥 energy brought by everyone present made for very welcome breaks for the rest of team MAP, who were incredibly hard at work on the dossier — blood, sweat, tears, pizza & drinks.

Israël, Pippa & Kelcey worked one more day at wpZimmer and will continue to explore joy in dance ✨

Thank you Israël and everyone who came to join & enjoy ❤️

About MAP

MAP’s third week at wpZimmer was for most of our team all about writing the dossier that had to be handed in

on January 25th! (We know that many of you recognize this… much courage on the next deadline ✍️ PS: if you need motivation or practical tips, be sure to check out this link). So we were extra grateful for all the good energy & inspiration & delicious food at Zimmer. We ended our third week at wpZimmer with a sharing session with the artists who had spent January there with us. Melisa, Vianney, Rubin, Enrica, Nela and Emiliano & Olga all shared glimpses of their new projects. The atmosphere was warm & super supportive ❤️

It made us very excited for the (near) future, because it was all so very promising. Merci merci merci ❤️
