After her first creation “HEYOKA” (#WIPCOOP 2018), a dance theater performance about men’s emotions and the power of empathy, Britt Ryckebosch created a second part during this residency (May 11-26) at MAP.
With a new team, she went to work at Rataplan and continued her research into human emotions. For this, she was guided by the impulses of her team, who thus have an important role in the process.

BIO: In recent years, Britt Ryckebosch (28 y) has developed as a dancer and recently as a creator. After participating in 1000 pieces puzzle in Brussels and London, she then danced in the dance production “C’est la procedure” by Cindy Claes and Timiss during I Have A Dream Festival at Zinnema. She then began writing her first dance theater performance of her own, “Heyoka,” which she presented at #WIPCOOP 2018. With the pieces Britt creates together with her team, she not only wants to touch the audience but also during the creation process to search for deeper questions and answers in herself, her team and their environment, in our society. She likes to experiment with less obvious techniques or a mix of different art forms.
