Work in progress: WIPCOOP Brussels 2025

WIPCOOP, the Work In Progress Cooperative of MESTIZO ARTS PLATFORM, is taking place for the tenth time (!) in Brussels.

At WIPCOOP Amina Abouelghar, Fanny Van Geel & Xavier Bascho-George & Claire Deniau, leïla alice, Lois Lumonga Brochez, Misha Demoustier and Sanae Jamaï will show thirty minutes from their Works in Progress. Expect a rich palette of themes, media and voices: from dance and humor to Arabic rhythms, classical piano, personal love letters to themselves and even a mermaid. After the presentations, the creators will engage in discussions with dramaturgs, workshops, producers and programmers about their work and possible forms of support. At the same time, the audience can participate in roundtable discussions and there will be short pitches from other exciting creators.

WIPCOOP is more than an annual event: it is an ongoing development track in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Leuven. The goal? Making new artistic work visible, encouraging dialogue and bringing artists and organizations together to further develop this work and bring it to the public.

The network of partners is also growing beyond national borders. A first international WIPCOOP already took place in 2023 and this edition too, in addition to Brussels-based artists, creators from Barcelona, Berlin and Amsterdam are sharing their work.

The Works in Progress takes place during the day and is free to attend.
