Experience the power of survival and expression in That which is untamable (The Untamable Creature in a Flowered Dress) by Melisa Diktaş. An immersive performance that embodies the essence of struggle, survival and resilience, rooted in the rhythms of Kurdish movement language.
In That Which Is Untamable: criatura, an endless battle unfolds, embodied by an untamable creature in a floral dress. With the pounding rhythms of the Dahul drum and a body in constant survival mode, immortality is made tangible.
Guided by the Dahul The drum that shakes the ground beneath. Together, feet stomping, make it known: she was here, she is here, and she will always be here Representing immortality. She who embodies existence. We celebrate, fight, get carried away and held back. We rise up, we pass on, we are conscious, unconscious, always keeping danger in sight. The oppressed, wrapped in a body. What if you are eradicated, executed, and suppressed—every single day? What does a being in constant survival mode look like?
