I live with 6A7 / Paula Paulowska (tryout, text reading)

An intimate text reading that makes mental vulnerability not explainable, but palpable.

At Ik leef met 6A7 Paula Paulowska invites you into an absurd, surreal and sometimes confrontational inner world of a woman during an episode. The monologue starts from personal experience with bipolar disorder and invites you to experience mental vulnerability, without labels or explanations.

The title refers to the ICD-11 code 6A7 for depressive disorders, but the word “depression” is deliberately avoided. Not to silence, but to break the stigma and make room for nuance: everyone experiences mental vulnerability differently. The formulation “I live with this” is central – as something that is present in a life, but does not define a person.

A monologue dedicated to everyone. After all, mental vulnerability is democratic: anyone can experience it.

During a series of small-scale try-outs/text readings in an informal setting, Paula continues to work on the text for which she planted the first seed in 2020.
