WIPCOOP 2018: WE WORK. WE PROGRESS.

Mestizo Arts Festival, the annual high mass of new urbanity, mutated into WIPCOOP in 2017. It is a collaboration for development and advancement of new urban artists. WIP stands for “Work In Progress,” COOP for “cooperative. All of this is supported by MESTIZO ARTS PLATFORM.

In November, you can see a new batch of artists at work in Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent. 20 artists stop on the wondrous path of their creative process and show where they stand: WORK IN PROGRESS. It’s a unique experience: you literally look into the future and see what most radars don’t detect today. Furthermore, we will immerse you in new-city dance and theater performances (PLAYS) by artists from previous editions of WIPCOOP who are now ready to tour. Occasionally we also show intermediate stages of work (SESSIONS).

WIPCOOP is an inter-city dialogue where each city has its own dynamics and collaborations. We keep our finger on the pulse of what is alive and vibrant and sincerely believe that this is where the future emerges.

Follow WIPCOOP and stay tuned for artists who will shape the cities of the future …
