Kaspy Ndia

In Spiegel , Kaspy interweaves music, visual art and dance into a poetic, multidisciplinary narrative. He drew hundreds of portraits of friends, family and strangers – a ritual of attention and presence. Each portrait brought him closer to the other, but also to himself. On se voit dans le reflet de l’autre. An intimate, almost spiritual experience of recognition and connection, which Kaspy now wants to share with audiences.

Kaspy Ndia (he/him) is an artist, musician and designer born in Kinshasa (DR Congo), where he graduated from the Institut National des Arts. Active in the international performing arts since 2013, he has collaborated on A Season in Congo by Aimé Césaire (London, 2013) and Genesis by Yabin Wang and choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Beijing & Shanghai, 2014), among others. Kaspy is part of Eastman, Cherkaoui’s company, and co-starred in Fractus V, 4D+, Stoic, Mea Culpa and Nomad, among others.
