#WIPCOOP 2025One Look is a multidisciplinary performance where dance (hip-hop, krump, tricking ánd flamenco influences), voice and classical piano enter into dialogue. The gaze is central: as the interface between people, as a window into each other’s worlds, as a mirror of what we sometimes prefer to hide … In a playful exchange of each other’s disciplines, the performers probe each other’s universes and invite the audience to see with different eyes. One Look argues for empathy, for embracing difference and for the beauty of real encounter.
Fanny Van Geel (she/her) is a professional dancer with a background in hip-hop, contemporary and flamenco. She is also a physical therapist and doctor of neurorehabilitation and combines her love of science and dance in work with neurological patients. Furthermore, she dances internationally for various artists and TV shows and can also be found in various theaters.
Xavier Bascho-George (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist, active as a dancer, singer, spoken word writer, tricker and “professional (day) dreamer.” In addition to his artistic work, he is studying to become an interpreter, so he is also literally building bridges between different worlds.
Claire Deniau (she/her) is a classical pianist, a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. In addition to playing piano and teaching, she is a kinesiologist.
The three creators got to know each other in 2018 during Groundwork, an intensive workshop by TIMISS-Groundwork. It was there that the first seed of One Look was born – an encounter that continued to resonate. They were subsequently selected by STRAATRIJK to further shape the project with additional guidance from Nordinne Traghane.
