Zunda iLanga is a theatrical journey that brings African oral tradition to the stage. In the sacred land of Zunda, Anansi, the weaving spider, tries not to get caught in a trap he set himself. Through stories that blur the line between fact and fantasy, we travel through time – where past and present are closely intertwined.
This magical story unfolds as a new generation discovers how stories define who we are and who we can become. With a dynamic blend of rhythm and prose, this story breathes new life into old echoes. Zunda iLanga is a tribute to stories that continue to resonate – from mouth to ear and heart to heart. Enter a world where words move and entangle yourself in Anansi’s web.
Chipo Sikumba is a storyteller taking his first steps into live performance. Chipo was born in Mozambique and has lived in Eswatini, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and now Belgium. He collects and shares stories that matter – through imagination, play and the spoken word.
