What a destructive assumption.” (Octavia Butler) Combining symbolic gestures, personal reality and social evocations, Alex will perform a solochoreography that highlights the experience of fetishization. Which bodies are coveted and for what reasons? What is projected onto them and what do they project? How does the external gaze come in to become one? This first tryout hopes to lead to a future show in which “the intimate is political & the political is intimate” takes on its full meaning.

He initially began performing as a slammer and debuted on open stages in Brussels. Now he is evolving as an artist and young adult. He is versatile: he performs, dances, writes and also has audiovisual skills. Building on what touches him personally, he tries to create a world that touches others. Since his first show, his solo 19 performed at Kaaistudio and Beursschouwburg, he has wanted to focus on creating performances while maintaining the strength of his background and multidisciplinary skills.
