KHEIR INCH’ALLAH – Yousra Dahry / Mohamed Ouachen

Yousra, 33, looks back with humor and tenderness on the upbringing her father gave her.
An education grafted onto another equally important school of learning: Drarism, the mentality of young people from working-class neighborhoods, the Draris.

This upbringing works its way into her relationships with men, a subject she explores in light of her many identities and values competing for first place: loyalty, taghenanism, femininity, …and drarism. In a context where the world whispers to her that she must choose who she wants to become, she is confused.Her father, a touching character, is involved in raising his little girl by offering her the best he knows, assuming his tools will be enough to protect her. His greatest fear is his inability to protect his child from the adult world.Her mother, from her own history, tries to let this little girl become, but to see her become is also to no longer be indispensable her daughter’s life.
