Lilieth Manjarres Acuña

“Adiós” is a performance that blends the abstractness of traditional Caribbean dance with contemporary dance movements.
The performance incorporates both traditional Colombian rhythms and modern sounds, with the intention of bringing closure to the grieving process of saying goodbye to loved ones.

At a time when you cannot say goodbye to a loved one, this is a performance full of sentimentality, nostalgia and liberation. Lilieth Manjarres Acuña “Crespa Manjarres,” graduated from the faculty of art at Francisco José de Caldas Distrital University.

Lilieth teaches pole dancing, twerking and traditional Colombian rhythms. As a dancer, she participated in choreographic productions of the Encuentros company and danced for Colombian singers. She also choreographed a music video for the singer Mr. Black. However, her main pursuit has always been teaching and healing women’s bodies that have been physically or psychologically abused through dance and pole dancing.
