Cynthia and Jarne both studied Dancer/Choreographer at ArtEZ (NL, Arnhem). Based on research, they develop dance performances. In collaboration with RADAR they are giving shape to their project. A first show moment took place during OUTSIDE INN festival. With this experience in their pocket, they are diving further into form research. In Hofstade, Corrumpuntur was transformed into a walking tour and in Mechelen into a location performance during Open Monuments Day.

In Corrumpuntur, Jarne Van Perck & Cynthia Verpoorten take you through the macabre process of decomposition. A fear of death sowed the seeds for Corrumpuntur but evolved through investigation into an appreciation for the process of decomposition.
What does it mean to be dead?

Collective VanVer explores movement after death.A dancer slowly transforms from a living being into a corpse, a body that continues to move in the ground long after death. Record detailed bodily transformations and experience how with perception of time your view of death changes.
