A look back at a special edition of Work In Progress at KVS!
With an image report by photographer Victoriano Moreno.
Oct. 19 & 20, Justine Theizen, Nabil Ennassouh, Hafsa Aqqal, Augusto Pedraza, Eyas Almokdad, Sara Manubens & Ves Liberta (Barcelona), Wang Ping – Hsiang (Berlin) and Melisa Diktas (Amsterdam) showed where they stand with the development of new work. During the breaks, Manu Moreau moderated the Artist Talks with the artists and special guests, including Yannick Bras (Impulsion Dance), Yasmine Deroui, Audrey Leboutte (Zinnema), Gerardo Salinas (KVS & Mestizo Collective), Eli Mathieu Bustos, Işıl Bıçakçı, Junior Akwety, Carla Parcianello andYusuf Mufutau.
Behind the scenes, Mike Van Alfen guided Feedforward conversations with the artists who had just presented, and a group of cultural workers (including producers, programmers, dramaturges, choreographers and workshops). In the evening, we continued networking with artists and a group of invited guests from abroad.
That they were inspiring days is beyond question! We returned home full of impatience to explore next steps with the artists & partners!
Many ♥ to KVS & their amazing team for the warm welcome of WIPCOOP, audience and professionals for their presence and feedback, artists for sharing their work, Manu Moreau & Mike Van Alfen for guiding the audience and the talks, Louai Hashem for assisting the production, Victoriano Moreno for the beautiful photos, Thijs Paijmans for the video registration + aftermovie to follow soon, Joana Rossi and Lucila Guichon for the framing breaks, Tetty Kayembe for the live online coverage!
